Like many authors, I envision what my characters look like. I wrote my characters from Darkness before Dawn with basic features, without basing them off anyone. But it was different with Captain Max Engel. I created him loosely off German actor Tom Wlaschiha. I saw him in Resistence and thought he was perfect for Max. I even pictured Henry Cavill as Thomas Potter. What made it even more scary was that Henry came from the Channel Islands – Jersey in fact. Now while I was on Tumblr I came across this pic. I found him! The perfect representation of Max!
